Patients Beyond Borders® (“PBB”) is committed to the privacy of its users. You can visit patientsbeyondborders.com (“Site”) without revealing any personal information. PBB reserves the right to modify this policy at any time, and without prior notice, by posting an amended Privacy Policy on the Site. PBB encourages you to review this policy periodically for any updates.

EMAIL COMMUNICATIONS AND RELATED SERVICES


PBB provides you with the opportunity to receive communications from us and send communications to us.

Email communication that you send to PBB via the email links on our site may be shared with the PBB customer support staff, employee, medical expert, or agent that is most able to address your inquiry. PBB makes every effort to respond in a timely fashion once communications are received. Once we have responded to your communication, it is discarded or archived, depending on the nature of the inquiry.

The email functionality on the Site does not provide a completely secure and confidential means of communication. It is possible that your email communication may be accessed or viewed by another Internet user while in transit to us. If you wish to keep your communication private, do not use our email. This Policy does not apply to content, business information, ideas, concepts, or inventions that you send to PBB by email. If you want to keep content or business information, ideas, concepts, or inventions private or proprietary, do not send them in an email to PBB.

PBB does not use your name, your email address, or other email information for any other purpose. PBB only uses the information you provide you the information that you request.

THIRD PARTIES

The Site may contain links to websites operated by third parties. PBB has no control over the privacy policies and practices of such third party sites, and if you have any concerns, you are urged to review the terms of those sites for more information about the policies applicable to those sites.

COOKIES


You can visit the Site without revealing any personal information. PBB does use cookies to track site usage information in the aggregate. PBB does not use cookies to collect or store personal information about Site visitors.

AGGREGATE INFORMATION


PBB uses general traffic, Site usage, and length-of-stay information in reports to sponsors and firms with which PBB has a business relationship. This sort of information is shared only in aggregate and does not personally identify you. For example, PBB might inform third parties regarding the number of users of the Site and the activities they conduct while on the Site. Depending on the circumstances, PBB may or may not charge third parties for this aggregate Information. PBB requires parties with whom we share aggregate information to agree that they will not attempt to make this information personally identifiable, such as by combining it with other databases.

 

DISCLOSURE TO CONTRACTORS


PBB operations and support contractors sometimes have limited access to personally identifiable information in the course of providing products or services to PBB. These contractors include vendors and suppliers that provide PBB with technology and services for the operation and maintenance of PBB’s Site and customer support tools. Unless you have not signed up for PBB’s newsletter, these contractors also may have access to your email address to send newsletters.

Access to personally identifiable information by these contractors is limited to the information reasonably necessary for the contractor to perform its limited function for PBB. We require that PBB’s contractors 1) protect the privacy of personally identifiable information consistent with this Policy, and 2) not use or disclose your personally identifiable information for any purpose other than providing PBB with products and services.

CHILDRENS' PRIVACY


This site is intended for adults age 18 and older. It is not intended for or designed for people under the age of 18. We do not collect personally identifiable information from any person we know to be under the age of 18.

INFORMATION DISCLOSURE


Except as described in this Policy or as specifically agreed to by you, PBB will not disclose any personally identifiable information it gathers from you on our website or through the use of optional PBB services. PBB only releases personally identifiable information to third parties: (1) to comply with valid legal requirements such as a law, regulation, search warrant, subpoena, or court order; or (2) in special cases, such as in response to a physical threat to you or others, to protect property or defend or assert legal rights. In the event that we are legally compelled to disclose your data to a third party, we will attempt to notify you unless doing so would violate the law or court order.

If you have a question, complaint, or problem, please use our contact form or email us directly using contact@patientsbeyondborders.com. Our customer service staff will forward your correspondence to the appropriate PBB staff person for a response or resolution.
