Opened in 2012, Ara Damansara Medical Center (ADMC) is a full-service 220-bed hospital with a wide array of specialties as well as three centers of excellence dedicated to the diagnosis and treatment of heart, brain, and spine and joint disease.

Located in Selangor, twenty minutes outside Kuala Lumpur, and 45 minutes from KL International Airport (KLIA), ADMC offers cutting-edge diagnostic and treatment technologies and a sophisticated hospital management information system.

ADMC’s Brain Center features a full range of treatments and services designed to meet the needs of adult and pediatric patients with brain and nervous system disorders. The center offers sophisticated technologies that enhance early diagnosis and treatment of stroke, brain tumor, epilepsy, dementia, migraines, sleep disorders, neuromuscular diseases, and other neurological disorders.

The center uses a Flash Dual-Source CT scanner to provide high-definition images with the lowest possible radiation exposure. Additional diagnostic equipment includes 3-Tesla magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) as well as 3-D cerebral angiography. These top-quality imaging systems ensure precise diagnosis for effective treatment and aftercare.

The Heart Center provides a full spectrum of services in the diagnosis and treatment of cardiovascular diseases for adults and children, and specializing in congenital heart disease, coronary artery disease, irregular heartbeat, palpitations, and heart failures. In addition to interventional cardiology, treatments offered include radiofrequency ablation, permanent pacemaker insertion, cardiothoracic surgeries, and cardiac rehabilitation, as well as psychological and nutritional counseling.

ADMC's Spine and Joint Center uses advanced medical technology in combination with a dedicated team of doctors and medical professionals to offer a holistic approach to the diagnosis and treatment of spine and joint diseases. The center provides a wide range of specialized services such as minimally invasive spinal surgeries and computer-assisted total joint replacements. The center is complemented by a fully-equipped rehabilitation facility, including hydrotherapy pool. Rehabilitative services are tailored to meet the needs of each patient and support the best possible treatment outcome.

A full-service Health Screening Center supports Malaysia's long standing reputation for preventive health offerings, with comprehensive executive health checks that detect abnormalities early and enable clinicians to stop the possible progression of disease. Screenings include general, men's, women's, cardiac, and digestive.

In 2013, medical industry big names Ramsay Health Care (Australia's largest private hospital group) and Sime Darby Berhad (one of Malaysia’s largest conglomerates) merged, forming the giant Ramsay Sime Darby. The company now operates a number of private facilities in Malaysia, including ADMC.

The Ramsay Sime Darby Medical Coordination Unit (MCU) serves as the first contact for international patients seeking care at ADMC. The unit has supported international patients from more than 60 countries. Services include appointment scheduling, assistance with travel arrangements and visas, accommodations arrangements at special rates, airport pickup and drop off, medical referrals, and translation for a variety of languages. The MCU team can also help to arrange for in-country medical concierge services to accompany patients from arrival at the airport through check-in at the prearranged hotel.

MCU staff can help convert "visa on arrival" status for international patients entering Malaysia for emergency medical treatment and can help expedite approvals for visa extensions. Staff at the center can also help patients plan a relaxing recovery vacation at any Malaysian destination.
