BMC boasts that many of their internationally trained and certified physicians have returned to their homeland committed to improving the quality of national healthcare through advanced treatments and procedures.

BMC is one of the most technologically sophisticated hospitals in the world today, an expansive, state-of-the-art medical campus providing comprehensive medical care through multidisciplinary teams of highly trained specialists. With its four hospitals and broad range of specialized clinics, BMC is equipped with all of the diagnostic and treatment facilities not generally available at local hospitals. The center has received JCI accreditation and is known throughout the world for delivering world-class, award-winning healthcare.

BMC boasts four hospital buildings: Bangkok International Hospital, Bangkok Heart Hospital, Bangkok Hospital, and Wattanasoth Cancer Hospital, with two supporting buildings for dentistry and rehabilitation. The main three focuses at BMC are cardiology, oncology, and neurology.

Bangkok International Hospital (BIH) was the first Thai medical center to serve international patients. Its International Medical Center improved and expanded its services in 2002 and now serves more than 140,000 patients annually from over 60 countries. Sixteen specialized centers, ranging from orthopedics to neurology to cardiology, have brought together internationally trained physicians and state-of-the-art medical technology to attract visitors from all parts of the world.

BMC’s team of 60 specialists helps overseas visitors overcome cultural and language barriers, in addition to providing the usual amenities, including visa assistance, liaison services with embassies, airport pickup, around-the-clock contact for medical assessments, advice on treatment options and doctors’ appointments, arrangements for special diets, arranging shopping and sightseeing tours, liaison with embassies and international organizations, and insurance claims liaison assistance.

Bangkok Heart Hospital is Thailand’s first and only dedicated private heart hospital. It is equipped with the most advanced technology and staffed by dedicated personnel who deal with nearly every heart condition, including diagnostics, interventional cardiology, cardiac surgery, and rehabilitation. It boasts one of Thailand’s only DaVinci robotic systems, used in the newer minimally invasive surgeries. Procedures include cardiac magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), computed tomography (CT) angiogram, adult stem cell therapies, radiofrequency ablation, pacemaker, and an all-artery cardiac bypass surgery.

Wattanasoth Cancer Hospital (WSH) is the only dedicated private cancer hospital in Thailand. The center is equipped with state-of-the-art technologies, including positron emission tomography (PET) and CT scan for fast and accurate diagnosis, NOVALIS for intensity-modulated radiosurgery and radiotherapy, and Gamma Knife for radiosurgery of the brain.;At the Bangkok Neuroscience Center, 12 neurologists and 14 neurosurgeons treat a host of diseases and traumas, including headache, dizziness, and vertigo, stroke and its aftermath, seizures, Parkinson’s and related diseases, Alzheimer’s, brain and spinal cord injury, tumors of the brain and spinal cord, muscle and nerve diseases, paresthesia of the limbs, trunk, or face, developmental disorders, and genetic anomalies.

The Neuroscience Center deploys the Leskell Gamma Knife, a radiosurgical device that enables doctors to treat deep-seated brain lesions without the risks of open-skull surgery. Hundreds of precisely targeted beams of cobalt gamma radiation painlessly “cut” through brain tumors, blood vessel malformations, and other abnormalities, allowing neurosurgeons to correct disorders not currently treatable using established procedures.

BMC’s rooms rival the best hospitals in the US. They include a guest sofa-bed for a companion, personal telephone for international calls, microwave oven, refrigerator, personal safe, free Internet access, free English-language newspaper, and an inpatient library. The BMC campus offers all the amenities from concierge services and luxury accommodations to translation and visa assistance.

They tell you exactly what they're going to do and how they're going to make you well. All the diagrams, the technology, they went over everything - the confidence that gives you is unbelievable. You feel a genuine sense of trust. — Karen, Canterbury
