A relative newcomer to healthcare, Jaypee Hospital opened its doors in 2014 with 525 beds. The facility is owned by the fifty-year old Jaypee Group, one of India's largest and most diversified family-owned businesses. Jaypee Hospital is the group's first foray into international healthcare.
Some 250 physicians and surgeons, and 450 nurses, offer an array of specialties, served by Jaypee's Heart Institute; Institute of Solid Organ Transplant; Institute of Brain and Spine; Institute of Bone and Joints; and Institute of Cancer Care. Complex procedures performed include liver transplant, bone marrow transplant, kidney transplant, total hip replacement, total knee replacement, and pediatric cardiac surgery.
Jaypee offers package pricing for more than 30 procedures in seven specialty areas, including all procedure costs and patient stay.
The hospital claims to treat some 4,000 international patients annually, mostly from African nations, GCC and CIS countries. English is spoken throughout the facility. International patients services include interpreters (for Arabic, Russian, French, Afghani), airport pickup and drop-off, assistance with travel, nutritional consulting and customized diets, financing, and tele-consults post-discharge.
The Jaypee Healthcare Group expects to open seven additional facilities throughout Northern India. A hospital in Agra is also planned, near to the Taj Mahal, a favorite tourism destination for medical travelers to India.
